A big doubleheader weekend of IMCA action is scheduled for this upcoming weekend July 15th-16th at the Rolling Plains Motor Speedway in Hays, Kansas! The racing has been really exciting all year long and a two-day show is sure to impact the points standings! Let's take a look at your current point standings in Hays!

SPORT COMPACTS:

Kiowa Higdon has been the dominant driver all year as three of his six IMCA wins this year have come at RPM Speedway! Higdon might have a decent 12-point lead, but he is holding off a hornet's nest behind him as second through sixth are within single points of each other.

SPORT MODS:

Sport mods have seen a big performance out of Beloit's Tyler Watts as he has picked up ten IMCA wins this season, with four of them coming at RPM Speedway! Watts also pulls double duty every weekend as he competes in the IMCA stock car class as well! Alex Loveless has had a solid season so far, the Salina native has made the trip to RPM regularly this season! A family duo of Ryan and Jack Kirchoff currently sit in third and fourth place as they both look to continue solid seasons. Noticeably outside of the top ten in points is Collyer's Blaine Walt who has been out of action since an early season crash in Thomas County's season opening race.

HOBBY STOCKS:

No surprise that your defending IMCA Super Nationals Champion Zach Olmstead is leading your hobby stock points, he has won all but two races at RPM this year, and already cracked double digits in the win column with thirteen! A dead tie is second place between Jamie Hart and Tyler Heath, just a couple of points behind them is Cody Williams who has the other two wins at RPM that Olmstead does not have. Williams also has double digits in the win column with ten wins on the season. Three rookies find themselves inside the top fifteen of the points standings currently, Hayden Kelly, Cole Schulte and Jake Wharton are those three.

STOCK CARS:

This season has been all Mike Petersilie and Tathan Burkhart in the stock car class, as they sit one and two in points, with just four points separating them. Petersilie has two wins on the season at RPM and Tathan has one win on the season at RPM. Just three points separate third place and fourth place in the standings, as Kyle Pfiefer looks to keep the advantage over Tyler Watts.

MODIFIEDS:

Dylan Sherfick holds a slim two-point lead over Jake Nightingale in the modified class so far, Sherfick does not have a win yet this season at RPM, while Nightingale does have one win. Sherfick has one win on the season and that came over at the Thomas County Speedway. Nightingale has three wins on the season, one at RPM, one at Salina and one at the Dodge City Raceway Park. Third place Clay Money has enjoyed a solid season and holds a three-point lead over fourth place running Tim Watts.

CRUISERS:

Matt Ramsey holds a commanding point lead over Dylan Pfiefer in the cruisers class. This class WILL NOT be a part of the WheatShocker Nationals.

All of the action goes down Saturday and Sunday at the RPM Speedway in Hays, Kansas, Chronicles From The Cushion will broadcast a podcast episode featuring Kiowa Higdon Saturday Night at some time after 4pm, live from the scorer's tower!
