IMCA Points racing is set to return to the Historic Wakeeney Speedway this weekend! The first two shows of Wakeeney's six race schedule kicks off this weekend, during the Buzzard Bash festivities in Wakeeney! New track promoters Barrett and Danielle Wagoner are ready to fire off their 2024 race season!

Wakeeney has not crowned track champions for IMCA racing since the 2015 season, drivers and fans alike are super excited to see points racing return to the historic track! Classes this year include the Cruisers class like the old school bombers class, the Solutions Bank North Stock Cars, the Ghumm's Autos Hobby Stocks, the Finish Line Lease Service Modifieds, the Moeder's Meats Sport Mods and the IMCA sport compacts!

Friday's night of racing starts at 7pm with all of the classes, then Saturday's day of racing starts at 3pm with the stock cars, hobby stocks, modifieds and sport mods all competing! Saturday's racing will take place in between a car show and a concert at the Buzzard Bash so be sure to join us for the fun-filled weekend in Wakeeney!

Wakeeney natives Cody Ghumm, Devon Ghumm, Brett Conness, Dylan Sherfick, Kyle Rohleder will all try their hand at their home track, trying to defend home territory from other Kansas racers, and out of state competitors!
