Exciting Week On Tap For Kansas Racing

The high flying 305's of the United Rebel Sprints Series are set to invade the RPM Speedway in Hays on Saturday, July 16th, and Sunday July 17th, for the Wheat Shocker Nationals!. Series points leader Stephen Richardson looks to advance on a sixteen point lead over second place Jeremey Huish. Coming off an impressive win against the American Sprint Car Series, the 2J of Zach Blurton looks to keep the high times rolling. Blurton had a very impressive run in Wakeeney this past Sunday against the ASCS tour and was able to steal a win from the national touring series. Joining the Rebel Sprints will be a handful of IMCA drivers, as they look to put on a great show along with the sprints. Hot laps start at 6pm both nights, with racing scheduled to start at 7pm both nights! Beloit, KS will host an exciting night of racing on Wednesday, July 13th for the 11th annual Chad McDaniel Memorial, as the USAC National Midgets come to town. This high flying series always puts on a good show, as exciting drivers like Logan Seavey, Thomas Meseraull and Justin Grant get set to take on the Kansas bullring. Tanner Thorson won this exciting event last year, after grabbing the lead in the closing laps, and surviving a late restart after a late red flag. Series points leader Buddy Kofoid holds a forty-six point lead over second place running Justin Grant. Kofoid a young man of many talents, has had impressive runs at the Chili Bowl in his Keith Kunz Motorsports midget, as well as jumping in other facets of racing. Kofoid ran a NASCAR truck at Knoxville Speedway for Kyle Busch Motorsports and has spent some time in 410 sprint cars as well. General admission is $20, and high school and younger get in for $5! Another round of weekly racing is set to kick off at Thomas County Speedway on Friday, July 15th, IMCA drivers will battle for points. Current points leaders are, Brady Bencken in the hobby stock class, Eddie Belec in the modified class, Brian Morris in the sport mod class, Ted Trumbo in the sport compact class, and Barrett Wagoner in the stock car class. Races start at 8PM, grandstand admission is $10 for ages twelve and up, ages five to twelve is $5 and kids five and under get in for free! The Trego County Free Fair will host the ASCS Elite Non-Wing series on Friday, July 15th, as well as IMCA sport compacts, sport mods, hobby stocks and crazy cruisers. Racing starts at 8pm, $15 adult tickets, kids 7-12 $10! Salina Speedway hosts another round of weekly IMCA racing on Friday, July 15th! Current points leaders are, Jake Nightingale in the modified class, Warren Huffman in the sport mod class, Brandon Conkwright in the stock car class, Nicholas Ronnebaum in the hobby stock class, Dave Kappel in the sport compact class, Justin Kinderknecht in the mod lite class, and Matt Ramsey in the cruisers class! Grandstand admission is $10 for ages 16 and over, 15 and under get in free, with a paying adult, hot laps start at 7:15pm with racing to follow!
