Fifty-seven race teams checked into the Sherman County Speedway in Goodland, Kansas for their season opener. Visiting victory lane were Eddie Belec in the modifieds, Monty Nordyke in the sport mods, Tyler Tipton in the stock car, Cody Williams in the hobby stock and Brock Leibhart in the sport compact.
The sport mods started the show, off with two eight lap heat races, won by Monty Norydke and Brady Bencken. Aiden Miller and Lloyd Stover started from the front row of the fifteen-lap feature, quickly a three wide battle broke out and Aiden Miller got to the lead, but caution came out as Brendyn Nordyke spun in turn three, and a few other cars spinning to avoid. The field would attempt a second try at the original start. Aiden Miller jumped to the early race lead, meanwhile Danny Concelman was charging towards the front. Aiden Miller started building a several car length lead over second place running Barry Halley, but caution came out on lap three as Halley went for a spin. Quickly off the restart Ryan Kirchoff would gain the race lead, with Monty Nordyke in tow. Lap four saw Monty Nordyke take the race lead but caution came out as his son Brendyn spun off turn two. Ryan Kirchoff led the field back to green with eleven laps to go, and caution came immediately back out as Brianna Maughlin spun out in turn two. Kirchoff led lapf five and slowly started to pull away from Monty Nordyke. At the halfway point of the race Kirchoff had a small lead over second place running Monty Nordyke. The final five laps saw a side-by-side battle break out with Monty trying to get the top side rolling. Monty took the lead down the backstretch on lap eleven, but caution came out as Austin Johnson went for a spin down the backstretch. Monty Nordyke led the field to a restart with three laps to go, over Ryan Kirchoff and Brady Bencken. Brady jumped to second off the restart as Monty pulled away, but caution came out in turn four as Austin Johnson spun once more, ending his night. Monty Nordyke led the field to a green, white, checkered attempt at ending the race, on the final lap Brady tried the inside but was not able to get by. Monty Nordyke picked up the feature win, second was Brady Bencken, third was Ryan Kirchoff, fourth was Brianna Maughlin and fifth was Aiden Miller. Hard charger was Danny Concelman who grabbed six spots, other nice runs included Ryan Kirchoff picking up four spots. Brady Bencken and Monty Nordyke grabbed three spots each.
The modifieds were second on the program with one eight lap heat race won by Kyle Rohleder. Tony Acierno and Eddie Belec made up the front row of the twelve-lap feature, Belec used the high side right away to get the race lead, but caution came out as Drew Miller spun in turns three and four. Belec would lead the field to a restart with eleven laps to go, Rohleder would get to second place off the restart, meanwhile Belec was long gone. After five laps Belec held a one and a half second lead over second place runner Kyle Rohleder. The halfway point saw Belec hold a two and a half second lead over Rohleder. Eddie Belec easily ran away with the feature event win, second was Kyle Rohleder, third was Tony Acierno, fourth was Drew Miller and fifth was John Fabrizius. Lap two saw Tyler Tipton get to second place over Kolby Stegman. Lap three saw a side-by-side battle for the race lead with Tipton getting the advantage. Lippelman spun in turn two to bring out a caution on lap three. Tipton would bring the field to a restart with twelve laps to go, off the restart Holzmeister would gain second place but caution came out as Lippelman went for a spin again. Tipton led the field to another restart, and would continue to lead, meanwhile Doug Holzmeister was using the top to make a charge to the front. Tipton led after five laps, but Kolby Stegman would challenge on the inside. The top- four runners would battle nose to tail with five laps to go. Tipton would continue to run solid laps around the bottom of the speedway to pull away from Stegman and Holzmeister. On the final lap Tipton was gone but the battle was on for second place, and out of turn four Kolby held on. Tyler Tipton won, second was Kolby Stegman, third was Doug Holzmeister, fourth was Aiden Miller and fifth was Dusty Springer. Hard chargers were Tyler Tipton, Dusty Springer and Keith Stegman.

Williams gained the lead on lap four. Tyler Heath and Mike Kennedy would battle side-by-side for third place through laps five and six. Tyler Heath would lose a wheel off turn two to bring out a caution on lap seven. Williams led the field to a restart and quickly pulled away from second place runner Branum. After a couple of laps Morgan Olmstead had gotten to fourth place. A three wide battle broke out for second place in the final laps, as Branum, Mike Kennedy and Morgan Olmstead would not budge. Caution came out on lap twelve, as two cars spun in turns one and two. Leibhart led the first lap and on lap two Trumbo would try to make a move on the inside. Chase Cloe would look for second after a few laps, but Trumbo kept the position by holding strong on the outside. On the final lap Trumbo would gain the race lead out of turn one but coming to the line Brock Leibhart beat Trumbo to pick up the race win.
